We are transferring this amount equal to Lires 887-50 to your disposal with the Credito Italiano, Milano, and we Are instructing them also to pay you a further sum of about Lires 500., if you should require it. Very truly yours,

Dear Dad:-
Rec'd this today. The Credito Italiano is the Equitable Trust's agent in Milano.
Have written to the Equitable Trust in Paris telling them that when the Credito
Italiano notifies them that I have exhausted the 887 lires to let you know,
so that you can make another deposit with the N.Y. office. In the meantime
- while they are writing and waiting for an answer, I can use the 500 lires.
I will try to make the 687 go as far as possible, but this arrangement will
merely make things quicker when necessary. Thanks very much for this first
deposit.
Harvey
