Grows in tops of trees over swamps in Brazil... really bright light and high humidity seem to be keys.
Bright light will not enough for it. It needs direct sunlight to do well. But must protect from afternoon harsh sunlight. They are warm loving species . Adequate watering during active growth phase to avoid shriveling. As with all cattleya, use well drain potting mix. Fertilize once a week will do.
