Come from NE India down through southeast Asia. Lighter water and fertilizer during the winter months. Bright light (vanda) light in winter; filtered bright (cattleya) in summer. Fuchs clumps these with Den. aphyllum (pierardii), Den. parishii, Den. nobile, Den. signatum, Den. albosanguineum, Den. moschatum, Den. fimbriatum, Den. primulinum, Den. pulchellum, Den. senile, Den. unicum. Prefers mounted culture; basket if it drains very well.
