Common Name Bowman's Dockrillia - Straggly Pencil Orchid Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm] Found in Queensland and New South Wales Australia as a miniature to small sized, epiphytic, hot growing species that is found in dry open areas or on the coastal plains near creeks and mangrove swamps at elevations of sealevel to 200 meters. This orchid grows by having new branches emerge from the upper nodes of the previous years branch carrying a single grooved leafand the bloom season is from late winter to spring on a short inflorescence that arises from the nodes near the new leaves at or near the apex of the cane and it needs a drier winter rest but should not be allowed to dry out completely.
