From orchidweb.com: Cross: (Lc. Saint Gothard x C. Dinah)
Intro:
Lc. Dinard 'Blue Heaven' AM/AOS is a cross between Lc. Saint Gothard and C. Dinah. This hybrid was first made in 1930 by the famous orchid firm Charlesworth in England. This particular clone was awarded in 2001. The award description reads as follows, “Three well-formed, nicely framed flowers on one inflorescence; flowers pale lavender-blue with darker lavender veins on petals centrally; lip pleasingly ruffled, indigo purple with yellow throat veined lighter purple; substance heavy; texture sparkling.” There are not many blue cattleyas available and this one is (we think) one of the best. The flowers always emerge in the fall from September to October and last 4 weeks or longer. They have a pleasing fragrance.
