This has been grown in nearly full light including midday sun. Gets a lot of water during the summer. Planted in a broad bulb pot filled with clay shards, drains very well and dries very quickly.
John B. suggests staking up the inflorescence as soon as it starts growing to have a better presentation.
12/1/15 got snowy mold in pot so moved it to a basket after cleaning.

Purchase notes:
Got this from Andrea Neisen when she spoke at our meeting in 2010. She said it was one of her best plants.
Andrea confirmed it is var Cauca after there was a question about it at the meeting in August 2012. She said "We discovered this Schomburgkia in the State of Cauca from Colombia and since it was different than the Schom. splendida we gave it the name variety Cauca." So there it is from the source.
